AVL Japan

When and for what purpose was the JTC established?

Nishizawa: JTC was established in November 2016 in

Kawasaki City to advance powertrain technologies across

key Japanese industries, including the automotive, industrial

machinery, and marine sectors. Today, we support every stage

of product development – from hybrid and electric vehicle

systems to emissions compliance, drivability optimization,

benchmarking, model-based development, and both system-

and component-level analysis. Additionally, dedicated project

management teams ensure seamless execution and custom-

er satisfaction.

What makes JTC unique?

Nishizawa: JTC's greatest strength lies in its Kawasaki-based

facility in Japan, where it provides engineering services lever-

aging AVL's advanced technological expertise specifically for

Japanese customers. The ability to conduct evaluations with

actual units domestically is rare for foreign-owned competi-
