or advanced research and development in heavy-duty

vehicles, state-of-the-art chassis dynamometer (dyno)

systems present unparalleled solutions for accelerating

test cycles. Modern chassis dynos are designed to accom-

modate up to eight wheels across three axles. Their innova-

tive controller architecture is powered by EMCON 6 – AVL’s

flagship testbed control and monitoring system, seamlessly

integrated with AVL PUMA 2™ Vehicle.

he latest release of AVL’s PUMA 2™ automation system

marks a major step in testbed flexibility, intelligence, and

connectivity. R7 ensures seamless updates, full compati-

bility with existing setups, and direct access to new features.

It supports a wide range of applications – from battery, inverter,

and e-motor to brake and multi-axle vehicle testing – including

back-to-back configurations of up to eight e-motors. Native ma-

chine learning models enable real-time anomaly detection and

intelligent monitoring, while simplified deployment accelerates

adoption.

With PUMA 2 Live and PUMA 2 Share, teams gain secure

web-based collaboration and centralized data management,

he new AVL M.O.V.E PN 2 is a CPC-based on-board

particle number measurement system, fully integrated

into the proven AVL M.O.V.E platform. It is designed to

meet the next generation of particle number measurement

challenges and evolving global legislation. Delivering lab-grade

accuracy down to 10 nm – even at ultra-low concentrations –

it supports both 10 nm and 23 nm selectable cut-offs.

This ensures maximum flexibility for Euro 7 real-driving emis-

sions and in-service conformity testing under stricter global

emission limits.

This platform enables comprehensive NVH (Noise, Vibration,

and Harshness) and EMC (electromagnetic compatibility)

testing, allowing vehicles to experience authentic road load

conditions within a controlled laboratory environment. Precise

real-world simulation driving scenarios provides engineers with

high-fidelity data for assessing noise characteristics, drivability,

and overall vehicle performance – ensuring that test results

translate directly to on-road reliability and quality.

enhanced by OAuth2 authentication and advanced IT

compliance.

Expanded OPC UA and UDP support, along with a redesigned

FEM4 editor, streamline configuration and signal handling.

The result: higher adaptability, predictive insights, and smarter,

safer test automation.

Engineered for robustness, it offers reliable performance

across applications, and strong resistance to vibration, shock,

and condensation. Smart validation checks and efficient fluid

management enable up to 100 hours of runtime with spill-

free handling, while automated heating line recognition and

integrated VPR (volatile particle remover) simplify setup and

reduce complexity. For heavy-duty and ultra-clean powertrain

testing, PN 2 ensures accuracy, reliability, and readiness for the

future.
